about the site

I'd noticed Blank Slate on the shelves of my local bookstore several times before I finally bought it in August 2009. The premise looked interesting, and I figured if I liked it I could come back for the second volume later, unaware that was the entirety of the series. It turned out that I was so fascinated the story that I went back the very next day to buy the second volume, and by the time I was done I'd found a new favorite series. I found the story compelling and was fascinated by Zen, as I'm sure every page on this site makes clear.

Almost immediately, I wanted to explore his character through a fansite. This site opened in February 2011 — quite some time from that first encounter in 2009. It's a good thing that the villains marathon at Amassment kicked me into finishing it. Currently, I consider this site static; there are no planned updates.

The site name comes from the Gackt song "uncontrol," because I've always wanted to name a site after a Gackt song and because control is the most dominant theme in Zen's story to me. I don't think the lyrics apply too well, but the song is awesome.
